Students in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland are trialling virtual reality technology allowing them to build confidence and skills in having End of Life conversations
I’m Matt Rosser keeping you up to date with news that students in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland are trialling virtual reality technology allowing them to build confidence and skills in having End of Life conversations. In the pilot scheme students enter a simulated interactive scenario in a hospital ward with ‘Richard’, a patient with severe, end-stage respiratory disease. They interact with ‘Richard’ and his family and what happens next is shaped by the students decisions. It is part of a wider project developed by Highland company ‘The VR Hive’ which wants to transform online learning. We’ll keep you up to date on this and other developments, here on Care Radio.
