Stirling University research into healthcare for prisoners once released

The study hopes to gain a better understanding of how people use health services once liberated from Scottish prisons.

I'm James MacDonald with news that new research from the university of Stirling is looking at how health services can give better support to people released from prison.The study hopes to gain a better understanding of how people use health services once liberated from Scottish prisons.  
Dr Catriona Connell, from the Salvation Army Centre for Addiction Services and Research, said: “About 15,000 people every year are released from prison in Scotland and we know that they are more likely to die by suicide, drug overdose, and illness linked to mental health and drug and alcohol use.
