A climate charity is proposing a social leasing scheme for electric cars for care workers.
I’m Matt Rosser with news that a climate charity is proposing a social leasing scheme for electric cars for care workers. Carers can often claim mileage costs for travel between clients, but some of those surveyed for the climate charity Possible said they could not do this. Rural care workers can spend over £150 a month on petrol, driving a combined 4 million miles daily. The charity suggests the government act as a guarantor
for the leasing scheme, similar to a programme in France.
