Anyone smoking within 15metres of a hospital building in Scotland could be fined up to £1,000. The new law came into effect last week
I'm James MacDonald with news that anyone smoking within 15metres of a hospital building in Scotland could be fined up to £1,000. The new law came into effect last week and applies to all NHS Hospital settings in the country. This follows a voluntary smoke-free policy introduced in 2015 and is the latest step in the Scottish government's plan to create a tobacco-free Scotland by 2034.
