Skinny jabs like Ozempic are being used as a cop-out

Professor says that while new drugs worked for the majority of people, preventing obesity in the first place was still the best plan

I'm Paul Hutton with news that a top scientist is warning that skinny jabs like Ozempic are being used as a cop-out by governments to avoid making difficult policy decisions. Giles Yeo, a professor at the University of Cambridge, says that while new drugs worked for the majority of people, preventing obesity in the first place was still the best plan. He said that preventing obesity required decisions that spanned the lifetimes of many governments, but was cheaper and more effective than treating obesity-related conditions.
