NHS data shows a 39% rise in referrals for mental health treatment for under-18s over the past 12 months
I'm James MacDonald with news that there’s a rise in the number of children needing help for serious mental health problems. NHS data shows a 39% rise in referrals for mental health treatment for under-18s over the past 12 months. The England-wide data includes children who are suicidal, self-harming, suffering serious depression or anxiety, and have eating disorders. Separately, data also shows hospital admissions for eating disorders are rising among children and young people. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
