The study also found that a symptomatic Omicron infection was 25% less likely to result in hospital admission than in a case of Delta. While Omicron's lesser severity has been known, the study is unique in its detailed analysis. The authors say the reduced duration of Omicron effects - shortest for people who have had three vaccinations - could impact workplace health policies and public health guidance. We’ll keep you up to date on this and other developments, here on Care Radio.
