No new cases of HIV in England by 2030?

Huge progress has been made since HIV and Aids were first identified in the 1980s. Just under three thousand people were diagnosed with HIV last year

This is Care Radio, I'm Matt Jones with news that the NHS says it's possible that England could be the first country in the world to have no new cases of HIV by 2030. It has recently signed a number of deals with drug manufacturers which will make new treatments available across the whole country. HIV medicines aim to keep the number of virus particles in the blood so low that it cannot be transmitted between people. Huge progress has been made since HIV and Aids were first identified in the 1980s. Just under three thousand people were diagnosed with HIV last year. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
