South London and Maudsley Foundation Trust spent £1.1 million on overpayments in 2021-22 and about £300,000 so far this year
I’m Paul Hutton with news an NHS trust has admitted it overpaid staff by more than a million pounds last year. The Health Service Journal reports South London and Maudsley Foundation Trust spent £1.1 million on overpayments in 2021-22 and about £300,000 so far this year. Documents released by the trust revealed the overspend, due to things like paying staff who had accepted a job offer but didn’t start work, and as making overpayments to those who had already left.
