Health records will be scanned by computer to find those who may be at risk, and anyone identified will be invited to see their GP for review
I'm Matt Jones with news that the NHS is to use artificial intelligence to screen and treat people at risk of Hepatitis C, according to an exclusive report in the Guardian newspaper. It's known as a silent killer, because the disease often doesn't have any symptoms until the liver has already been damaged. If it's left untreated, it can be life-threatening, but it can now be treated and even cured. Health records will be scanned by computer to find those who may be at risk, and anyone identified will be invited to see their GP for review.
