I’m Matt Rosser with news that NHS staff in Wales will get an additional 3% pay rise. Following a meeting between Welsh ministers and trade unions last week the increase - on top of one paid earlier this year - was ‘narrowly’ accepted. The settlement - which will add 7.6% to the NHS pay bill in Wales - will not apply to GPs who are covered by a different pay award, though the BMA has said it wants further negotiations on GPs’ pay.
