I'm Matt Jones with news that senior health leaders are warning that hospitals are being forced to cut medical staff and threatening patient care. The government gave English NHS trusts two-and-a-half billion pounds in extra funding, but that only covers inflation and pay increases. NHS leaders had been recruiting medical staff as part of their efforts to tackle waiting lists, but they are now being told that they must balance the books.
