A healthy living initiative run by one of Highland’s biggest football teams is taking place in the Inverness area.
I’m James Macdonald with news that a healthy living initiative run by one of the Highland’s biggest football teams is taking place in the Inverness area. Caledonian Thistle Community Trust have teamed up with NHS Highland and the University of the Highlands and Islands to offer the 13 week Football Fans in Training initiative to people who are recovering from a heart attack or surgery. Heart disease is recognised as Scotland’s single biggest killer and Craig Masterton, from the Caley Thistle Trust says “we are positive we can help influence their recovery with a path back to exercise and health.” There’s more on this and other stories here on Care Radio.
