I’m Matt Rosser with news that an NHS bus has been travelling around the UK this week to raise awareness of cancer symptoms. The Stagecoach double decker with NHS and Cancer Research staff on board has been visiting Leicester, Blackburn, Sunderland, Barnsley and East London explaining to passers-by the signs and symptoms of cancer and encouraging them to visit their GP for checks. NHS England says over 2.8m people were seen for cancer checks last year, which is an increase of almost 20% from the same period before the pandemic.
