It will prioritise patients who have been waiting longest, particularly for orthopaedic and eye care services
I'm Matt Jones with news that a new "planned care" hospital in Ascot in Berkshire will focus on cutting waiting times for routine operations. The unit, which is part of Heatherwood Hospital, will prioritise patients who have been waiting longest, particularly for orthopaedic and eye care services. It'll have six operating theatres, 48 beds and will treat patients in Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire. And there'll be more on this and our other stories right here on Care Radio.
