New mums benefit from digitisation of NHS maternity services

The app should allow inclusive access to medical notes and midwife support, reducing environmental impact and enhancing patient involvement

I'm John Warburton with news that new mums across Hertfordshire are the latest to benefit from the digitization of documents connected to maternity care. West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has started using BadgerNet, a digital app replacing paper records for nearly 8,000 new mothers. The app should allow inclusive access to medical notes and midwife support, reducing environmental impact and enhancing patient involvement. Nearly 8,000 pregnant women have been given the app in its first 12 months.
