I’m Matt Rosser with news that a new Health and Care Academy has been opened in Mid Wales to improve access to training and encourage more people to take up a career in the sector. The centre at Bronllys in Powys has indoor and outdoor learning areas, and an adaptive living space which will be used to provide simulated learning in a community setting. The £1.6m facility was opened by Welsh Government Health and Social Services Minister Eluned Morgan who also met some of the area's unpaid carers who are benefiting from learning techniques to improve their mental health and wellbeing. The site is the first of several that Powys plans to develop as part of its Workforce Futures programme. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
