Swim England supported by the Royal College of GPs has released a new series of films called “Swimming As Medicine”
I'm John Warburton with news that a GPs’ organisation has teamed up with England’s governing body for swimming to encourage healthcare workers to recommend activity in the water to their patients. Swim England supported by the Royal College of GPs has released a new series of films called “Swimming As Medicine”. The College suggests swimming exercise as a social prescription can reduce the risk of chronic illnesses such as heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes. The buoyancy of water can also relieve stress on joints, for patients enduring arthritis and obesity. For more care news stay with us here at Care Radio.
