Although the Office for National Statistics figures suggest infections are still rising, experts say that’s because they’re including lingering infections and not an indication of the current trend. The Telegraph says the Government’s coronavirus dashboard shows that cases in the most recent wave peaked at 27,000 around the 11th of July and have been falling ever since.
