Attacks in conflict zones on health workers, hospitals and clinics rose by 25% last year to their highest ever levels

I'm John Warburton with news that a new international report says attacks in conflict zones on health workers, hospitals and clinics rose by 25% last year to their highest ever levels. According to the ‘Safeguarding Health in Conflict Coalition’, wars in Gaza and Sudan in addition to conflicts in Ukraine and Myanmar contributed to more than 2,500 violent incidents affecting healthworkers in 2023. The coalition is made up of more than 40 nongovernmental organisations and has produced annual reports for the past 11 years.
