Professor Dame Margaret Whitehead of the University of Liverpool will lead a review into potential ethnic bias in the design and use of medical devices which could be having an impact on a patient’s diagnosis and treatment. Javed Khan OBE, former CEO of the children’s charity Barnardo’s will lead an independent review of the government’s ambition to make England smoke free by 2030. There are an estimated 6 million smokers in England and smoking is still one of the largest drivers of health disparities. We’ll keep you up to date on this and other developments, here on Care Radio.
