Carers UK says any new administration must turn around “widespread lack of formal support from official sources of health and social care”
I'm John Warburton with news that a major charity has called on any new Prime Minister to improve the lives of Britain’s 5.7 million unpaid carers. Carers UK says any new administration must turn around what it calls a “widespread lack of formal support from official sources of health and social care”.
Among other areas, the charity wants priorities to include reforming and significantly increasing Carer’s Allowance, and the bringing forward of a National Carers’ Strategy.
Leaders add that there is “no time to waste”.
