Home Office staff investigating illegal working in the care sector have arrested six people in Southampton on suspicion of immigration offences
I'm John Warburton with news that Home Office staff investigating illegal working in the care sector have arrested six people in Southampton on suspicion of immigration offences. The suspects, aged between 30 and 55, were of Botswanan and Zimbabwean origin and, according to the government, none had permission to work in the UK. Officials say the six were detained in a pre-dawn raid on Wednesday morning. The Home Office claims one has already agreed to leave the UK under the Voluntary Return Service.
