Norma Newcombe started as a cadet in 1958 at a hospital for babies and she still puts in 5 shifts a week. She has worked as a full-time school nurse since 1973 and still feels passionate about her job. She said: “I’m proud to be where I am and I’m very passionate about the local area and everything related with Hindley and school nursing.
