I'm Matt Jones with news that social care providers will be paid a fairer rate for their work as a result of new funding from the Health and Social Care levy. Just over one and a third billion pounds is to be made available to local authorities to pay fairer rates for care. People paying privately for adult social care often pay a higher rate than those funded by the local authority, and the money will be used to close this gap.
